This month, I had surgery, so I had a week that was very slow on spending; I was staying with my sister and her family. My sis walked my dog, and they fed me. I do appreciate her! I also had a bowel scope and had to purchase the prep for it as well as Gatorade, jello, and gingerale.
I have gotten back into the candy habit, and I’ve spent $10-15 each month on candy… That being said, I had a filling that was cracking a tooth; I had to get a crown. Insurance paid over half, but I had to pay about $600. Perhaps I should kick the candy habit for good!
We went to two Christmas Markets, as has been our tradition for three years now. I bought a few Santa things and new bed sheets and a shoeshine kit that will go towards my own Christmas presents from my mom and sister. As I decorated for Christmas, I decided to purchase some prelit garland for above my kitchen cabinets. I have wanted to buy that for 2-3 years, and I found it on sale. It lights up a dark-in-winter part of the condo and I love it.
I had an annual Crave membership until November 8th, and I let it expire. I somehow was paying $11.54 per month for Prime Music, but I canceled it. I think I’d signed up for the free trial and forgot to cancel it. I prefer Apple iTunes, so I no longer need another music subscription when I’d bought so many songs on iTunes.
MONEY SAVED: 20% I saved 20% of my income this month. | MONEY SPENT: 80% This month’s money was spent on the regular monthly bills: phone, cable, streaming services, insurance, rent, groceries, gym membership, electricity, prescriptions, a meal out 1-2 times per week, gas, and dog grooming, treats, and food. Other spending this month was spent on candy, Christmas Market items, the uncovered part of my crown (I’d put it on my credit card and paid it this month – that is why it shows up in last month’s update and this one). |
