MONTH 4 : June 23-July 20, 2024

WEEKS 17 & 18: July 7-13, July 14-20

I missed last week’s update. I went to the Calgary Stampede and got food poisoning. I ended up getting sick for over two hours. I spent last Saturday (my birthday!) in bed. I hadn’t been sick like that in a while. I missed my birthday trip with my good friend to SUP on Morraine Lake. I was very disappointed; I’d booked the shuttle for Morraine Lake in April! I spent the next five days getting over it.

This week: Money this week was spent on dog food, groceries, electricity bill, house and car insurance, allergy meds, wine to thank friends who kept Alfie when I was at Stampede, a doggy present for Bunny’s birthday, chiro & massage, my blog site monthly charge, parking at the hospital for an infusion.

This past month: This month, I saved 30%, and spent 70%. It has been nice to see my savings accounts grow. I have been able to book and pay for accommodation, camping fees, and ferries for our upcoming camping trip to Vancouver Island. Gas and food will be a bit more this week, so I will most likely save less next week/month.

MONEY SAVED: 30% I saved 30% this month.        MONEY SPENT: 70% This month’s money was spent on groceries, prescriptions, and regular monthly bills (rent, insurance, electricity, cell phone, and cable/internet). I ate out a lot this past month, too much. I will need to reel that back a lot after our camping trip.

I recently (March 2024) began a shopping ban, and would like to blog about that, life with a doodle, grief and personal therapies, and my Bleeding disorder. I am excited to start writing for you, and am interested on your thoughts on my writing!
