Week of June 23-29 Update

This was probably my worst spending week since I began the shopping ban. I think I was a little lost this week, since my U of C classes have ended for the summer. So, the rest of the month I will need to be super careful. I will also be decluttering this summer, which should bring some peace in my condo.

I got really into the Stanley Cup finals, cheering for the Oilers, of course. I bought 50/50 tickets for the game and ate out with friends at a pub to watch the game

I took a late-night trip to DQ with a neighbour for a banana split. I registered for two events this summer with the Writer’s Guild of Alberta, that cost $25 and $35.

I’m not sure how, but I missed my Shaw cable bill last month, so I had to pay double this month… Rent came out, my gym membership, I had to buy a filter for my humidifier, camp fuel and zip ties for August’s camping trips, I bought groceries, I bought a propane tank (that was half full) from my A/C friends.

Born & raised in Prince Edward Island, Canada, where we had beef cows, pigs, a pony, a rabbit or two, always a dog, and many cats. My dad's favourite saying was, "A fool and their money soon part", so hence my website name. I recently (March 2024) began a shopping ban, and would like to blog about that, life with a doodle, grief and personal therapies, and my Bleeding disorder. I am excited to start writing for you, and am interested on your thoughts on my writing!
